Refund Policy

1. Paid plans are not currently offered
Playthread does not currently take payments. There are no live subscription tiers, no checkout flow, and no recurring charges. This page exists so that the policy is in place ahead of paid plans launching; it will be updated with specific terms (including the EU/UK statutory right of withdrawal and our discretionary refund window) at the time paid plans go live.
If you have an existing manual grant of paid access provided by us directly, no money has changed hands — there is nothing to refund.
2. When paid plans are available
Once paid plans are enabled, the following will apply and will be reflected in the relevant sections of our Terms of Service:
- EU / UK 14-day right of withdrawal. Consumers in the European Union or the United Kingdom will be entitled to withdraw from a paid subscription within 14 days of purchase, subject to the digital-content carve-out: once you generate AI content on the paid tier, performance is treated as begun and the right of withdrawal is consumed.
- Discretionary refunds. Outside that statutory window, payments will be non-refundable except where we agree, at our discretion, to refund for a material service failure on our side.
- Cancellation vs refund. Cancelling a subscription will stop future billing; you will keep paid features until the end of the billing period already paid for. No refund is issued for the unused portion of the current period.
